Online bakeries are the latest trend and you see them more as social media like Instagram and Facebook as they become more accessible to people like me, always in search of all things sweet. But these virtual bakeries aren’t something new for there are well-established patisseries in Singapore (that I know of) started their business in average home kitchen before gaining popularity via word of mouth.
What started as a passion to work with cakes and pastries eventually lead to a baker’s decision to kick start her very own business, a home-based bakery. Kokoro Patisserie by Melissa the baker takes pride in using the freshest ingredients for their Japanese inspired desserts and pastries. Another point worth bringing up is the use of flour and cream from Japan and France respectively. And if that is not impressive for you, how about the omission of softening agents or stabilizers in all their sweet creations?!
