I reckon now you must be wondering if I could have some variations in my photography skills. Given that the macarons I always share here and here always use the same china bowls with that Peranakan floral table cloth background.
Even I find it boring but I just can’t find better props in my grandma’s kitchen. Besides, it does give macarons that nostalgic olden day feel right? Anyway, I had another batch of macarons given to me by my baker friend. It’s chocolate this time and I must profess that his baking skills are getting up there. And who says chocolate macarons must have chocolate coloured shells? If you want them pink or green? All you need is to ask and it shall be done!
I let my mood decide but looking at what’s left in my fridge, I say I prefer the green ones a little more. Both have the same chocolate gauche filling but I do fancy darker pinks. Hot pinks are more sexier don’t you think so? I admit I go gaga over Pierre Herme macarons. Especially after returning home from a day’s work and that’s when I sneak one or two then make a quick dash back to my room. Munching happily till it’s dinner time.
They are my sweet pleasures of life and I do hope I live long to keep enjoying a lifetime supply of macarons.
