While it doesn’t snow in my country, it does rain a lot. Some days it pours and on certain days. It really POURS! Clear blue skies turn an uninteresting shade of grey; wind starts to howl like a wolf on steroids. These are telltale signs you better run indoors, or risk a free shower outdoor.
It’s never convenient to get out of the house. Our slippers. Our feet and if the rain was any heavier, our shorts and skirts too. We get wet irregardless of umbrellas or overcoats if anyone still wears them.
And if we stand under the weather a little longer, we might just catch the dreadful cold. Though it would be an perfect excuse to skip school work or whatever that hinders fun.
But I love the rain. Especially when there’s someone to share one small umbrella that never seem good for two. When there’s hot earl grey to sip in the cold. Perhaps even dropping by a coffeehouse for some cakes and hot cocoa drinks. When there’s someone you love to chitchat while waiting out the rain. Or even just having fellowship in silence. And just when you say the rain always spoils the mood. There’s so much you and I could do! I wouldn’t even mind doing nothing if I’m beside you.
I love the month December. I love Christmas and I love spending time with you when it rains…
