Together Cafe Bedok North Singapore II

IMG_2509 (FILEminimizer)I’m here again! Back at Together Cafe and if you hadn’t visit them for a while, you be surprised to know they have expanded! Taking over the adjacent shop unit and revamping the whole space with plywood and meaningful quotes, first timers will surely be impress if not excessively singing praise how much they love this place.

Or at least that’s what I experienced when I bring someone new here.IMG_2512 (FILEminimizer)They still have some of the better lava cakes if I were to compare to other cafes. But I suspect they probably outsource from someone else since I saw them stacking lava cakes from boxes. Whoever they are, they really do them well.

I would expect their prices to increase since the owners might have a legit excuse to earn more profit now that they expand. But no! You could still get a iced drink or a cuppa under five bucks like my refreshing milky Iced Mango Latte ($4.90) with mango cubes too. IMG_2523 (FILEminimizer)A must order in my opinion would be their Cheesy Bake Japanese Curry Rice ($8.90). Served piping hot with a layer of crusty melted cheese and fresh prawns on top of your curry rice, I must say this is ultra comforting to have when it’s raining outside.

“Careful the bowl is hot.”

PS: I think they changed their portion size and increase it by forty cents but these minor minor trivia not worth picking on.  I’m just saying so don’t ask me why must I bring it up.
IMG_2535 (FILEminimizer)IMG_2538 (FILEminimizer) I must commend that Together Cafe juggle affordability, quantity  and quality perfectly well. I came here quite a few times (more than twice) and I daresay I find their menu reasonably priced, fit for a meal and I walked out feeling very gratified.

Just like their Carbonara ($7.90), a dish I rarely order for myself at other places. I thought it was dried noodles until I gave it stir. And boy oh boy, all the creamy sauce under the really al dente spaghetti.

Taste wise? More than what I actually expected and if I’m not very fussy, it is definitely comparable to some restaurants I go just for pastas.IMG_2528 (FILEminimizer)I’m just blessed to stay somewhat near to this cafe. It isn’t walkable but at least if I want a foolproof no disappointment brunch, I say I will just come here, Together Cafe.

On a side note, I think it’s best you call and make reservations unless you wanna try your luck and hope they are empty like I did sometimes.

Do note that they are now closed on every Mondays.
